I did the lead illustration for an article posted today on The Verge. The article is a fascinating investigation into the work of artist Lauren McCarthy and the possible future of our augmented realities. Google Glass, Mechanical Turk, online dating, sci-fi prophecies materializing, really interesting stuff! I got this assignment because of a personal piece I did a few months back that seemed conceptually relevant. So I repurposed it and came up with this.
Deli Boy Blues
Preview of a piece that will hopefully be printed in the spring.
Been a long time since I’ve worked on a larger piece… feels like I ended a serious relationship.
Thanks to cameos for letting me use some of his images!
